Colleen Hart grew up playing basketball in Needham, MA. She was on the Needham High School Varsity team for four years and advanced to the state finals her senior season. She continued her basketball career at the collegiate level when she attended Tufts University in 2007. While at Tufts Hart was a four-time All-NESCAC selection, including three seasons on the first team. She is also the program’s all-time leading scorer finishing with 1,422 points. The D3Hoops Northeast Rookie of the Year in 2008, Hart was an All-Region Third Team pick as a sophomore in 2009, an All-Region First Teamer as a junior, and a D3 Hoops All-Region Second Team selection as a senior.
After graduating from Tufts, Colleen signed with SC Uni Basel Basket, located in Basel, Switzerland. Uni Basket competes in Switzerland’s top-flight professional basketball league, LNA (National League A). While she was in Basel, Uni Basket made it to the final four. Colleen finished her professional career averaging 12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals per game.
“Being a point guard means being a coach on the floor,” and Colleen has always seen herself as a coach in this way, so it was an obvious transition for her to continue her basketball career in coaching and personal training. Colleen is excited to bring her passion for the game of basketball, as well as her playing and coaching experience to Doner Elite Basketball.
Currently, Colleen is an assistant coach for Tufts University and an AAU coach for the Bay State Jaguars.
